So the olympics, you see the people getting that gold medal. Wow it is a massive chunk of gold right. Or maybe you have thought it is some gold alloy to make it more durable, but still with a lot of gold in it.

But no the gold medal is actually just a chunk of silver with gold coating. About about 6 grams of gold. The whole medal is just worth a couple of hundreds of dollars metal wise.
