How does your face look to somebody sitting on a bus going by?
By Jon • Apr 4th, 2008 • Category: JazzI have been thinking a lot about how people’s face look in everyday situations.
What expression do you put on. Does it look like sunshine or a bit cloudy?
So this game goes like this, when you are riding a bus and there are lots of people everywhere going by it is easy to look at people without making eye contact, then you look at the face expression for 1 second and ask would you hire or fire this person based on this expression?
It is a funny game. A lot of people would be fired. Some people give an immediate positive attractive impression.
Some people are probably having a ruff morning going to some crappy deal that they really don’t want. It is fully understandable that it is not going to be a sunshine face. Life’s hard, the daily struggle etc etc. Some probably are not aware of their expression and are unaware that they are being judged.
So I am focusing on not having a fired face at least when it counts. So you can ask yourself, does my face now look like that “rainy woman” I saw down the street just now? How can I make my face look like that sparkling person, you just saw? I think you can score some cheap points on being aware of this, and by imitation of those sunny faces even if you are not so sunny inside.
Fake. Maybe a bit, but it is the same as the salesman having a nice suit to impress, and talking an easy and positive sales talk. Women have fake tits, fake eye lashes, fake nails, nail polish, war paint in the face, make flirty eye contact, good looking clothes and so on and so on. Nothing personal, but a big part of the game.
